Want to know a “secret”?  Three years ago F.L.C.’s Liz and Dan Zeidler were at a pro-life banquet to benefit a local pregnancy help center. The banquet speaker that evening was Sister Mary Elizabeth, S.V., Vicar General of Sisters of Life, the New York-based order founded by Cardinal John O’Connor.  At the end of Sister Mary Elizabeth’s talk, Liz turned to Dan and said that that was one of the best pro-life talks she had ever heard… Dan had to agree with her.

What was so special about it?

It had many insightful aspects, but for Liz and Dan, the most powerful was how sister described their work with adult pregnant women in need of help. The Sisters of Life have opened up one of their convents to offer these women a place to stay.  Most importantly, sister explained how they relate to these women who frequently come from very troubled backgrounds.  As sister explained their approach she revealed their “secret” which has resulted in many joy-filled conversions of spirit, and is something sister insists that all of us can apply to our own relationships.  

Rather than our attempting to summarize, we highly recommend you take the time to read and meditate on ... her presentation (We have been circulating this presentation for 3 years, and it continues to generate much interest. Even if you read it previously, it merits another read.) You will be richly blessed to hear about “the power of maternal love to transform a culture, one heart at a time.”  You will be hearing more about this life-affirming approach, including on the theology and psychology behind this approach, in future “F.L.C.
