Toda América con Cristo

Let us pray for ALL the countries of our Western Hemisphere – from Canada in the north to the southern tip of South America – that the Lord’s Plan for Life & Love will be accepted and embraced!

Let us ask Our Lady of Guadalupe, our patroness, for her loving intercession.

Let us pray the prayer given to us by Pope St. John Paul II in his encyclical “The Gospel of Life":

O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life: Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the Gospel of life with honesty and love to the people of our time. Obtain for them the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life.

Toda América con Cristo (All America with Christ) is an effort to promote more solidarity and collaboration between the USA/Canada and the countries of Latin America, according to the spirit of Pope St. John Paul II’s Apostolic Exhortation, “Ecclesia in America” (“The Church in America”). In that teaching, St. John Paul II referred to all the countries of the Western Hemisphere not as “the Americas”, but as one “America” united in Christ.  Toda América con Cristo aims to live that oneness more dynamically and prayerfully by promoting increased North-South collaborative efforts, especially regarding the Church’s teaching on Life and Family.
